Individual Therapy

Are you struggling with feelings of unhappiness, anxiety, or low self-esteem?

When you are struggling internally, it creates a deep sense of unhappiness. I know what emotional pain is, and I know what it feels like to be free of it.

I work with adults who are dealing with a variety of issues, whether it’s grief, anxiety, depression, feelings of hopelessness, low self-esteem, or codependency. Whatever is going on in your life that brought you here, whatever is causing that pain, I know you have the ability to overcome it.

Pain is pain, and I genuinely care about you and want to help you achieve your goals for therapy. My only goal is to help you any way I can so you can enjoy a peaceful life and be comfortable within yourself.

How Therapy Can Help

Our unhappiness comes from not relying on that deeper wisdom we all have within us. When we work together, I will truly listen to what you are saying. I will help you find the path that is right for you so you can have the peace and happiness you are looking for. I will act as a guide to help you get in touch with your own inner truth, instinct, spirit, wisdom - whatever you call it - so it can provide you the answers you are looking for. Your awareness of your inner wisdom will grow, which leads to greater trust. Soon you’ll be able to rely on it on your own. You’ll learn to know and trust what is right for you. When you remain on this path, you’ll experience much less unhappiness. I know you have the answers within you.

Therapy for Anxiety

Anxiety at its worst is crippling and causes extreme suffering. You become trapped inside your head. It causes loneliness, fear of traveling or going outside of your home, and the inability to concentrate. Anxiety often looks like obsessive or ruminating thoughts, worrying about something you said or did, or worrying about the future. It prevents you from living in the moment and enjoying life.

You don’t have to suffer any more. Therapy helps you take back control of your thoughts so you can live fully in the present without fear and suffering. I know what it takes to get through it. You CAN get through this. I KNOW you can get through this, and together we have what it takes.

Improving Self-Esteem

Sometimes we all feel bad about ourselves or something we’ve done, but do you feel this way all the time? Do you feel like you’re never good enough? Do you often compare yourself to others? I can relate. I’ve been through it. It was difficult to go through life not feeling good about myself. I was hard on myself and with the help of therapy learned how to change those negative thoughts into positive ones. I now enjoy life, love myself, and am ready to help you do the same.

It’s your mind that wants to focus on the negative and keep you down. But that’s not reality and it doesn’t have to be this way. I know what you’re going through and KNOW you can genuinely and sincerely feel good about who you are and love yourself. I will help you learn how to not get involved with those negative thoughts when they pop up. Over time, you can transcend it. You can get your life back without those abusive and unrealistic thoughts.

I am passionate about helping you improve your self-esteem. I genuinely want to help you achieve your goals, love yourself, and be proud of who you are. Together we can make it happen.

Counseling for Depression

When you are struggling with depression, every task, no matter how small, can feel like an uphill battle. Do you feel worthless or hopeless? Do you feel like you’ll never be able to be happy again?

When I work with clients who are suffering from depression, I take a more direct approach. I’ll help build you up and feel strong again. You’ll go from, “I can’t do this, I can’t do that” to “I DID that” and “I CAN do this.” During our sessions I give you tasks to accomplish before we meet again. For example, if you’re having trouble getting out of bed in the morning, I’ll ask that you start waking up half an hour earlier. Maybe I’ll ask that you incorporate a 10 minute walk into your daily routine or drink more water each day. As you accomplish these, we’ll build on those and add more. The more small tasks that you add to your routine, the more you have to celebrate. The more things you do, the better you feel.

Once you start to regain that inner strength, you’ll be able to accomplish your goals. I sincerely care about you and want you to feel better. Therapy can help you find happiness and feel like yourself again.
